FTI Engineering Network has received a supplemental type certificate to retrofit all Cessna Citation CJs with ADS-B Out transponder technology in cooperation with German MRO provider Atlas Air Service.

According to FAA and EASA mandates, all aircraft must be actively traceable by means of GPS-based aircraft data by 2020.

“We now offer this ADS-B Out retrofit with EASA approval to all owners of CJ1+, CJ2+ and CJ3 jets with ProLine 21 avionics worldwide. We are also looking to acquire FAA approval in the future,” states Atlas Air Service chief technology officer Gregor Bremer.
