Aloft AeroArchitects has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) validation of its supplemental type certificate (STC) ST04815NY for the Gogo Galileo FDX terminal on Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 737-700 aircraft.

The validation broadens the international reach of Gogo's high-speed, global in-flight connectivity system for European-registered operators and extends the geographic applicability of Aloft's FAA-approved STC. Around a year after securing the industry's first Galileo FDX STC for BBJ aircraft, Aloft has supported additional installations at its Georgetown, Delaware facility and delivered installation kits to authorised Gogo dealers worldwide.

The original certificate was issued by the FAA in 2025, generated through Aloft's own Organisation Designation Authorisation and covering Boeing 737NG-based BBJ models, with amendment to follow for subsequent 737 MAX BBJ variants. It was the industry's first Galileo FDX STC, granted following the inaugural installation on an undisclosed customer's BBJ 737-700IGW that had previously lacked connectivity. The Galileo FDX terminal draws on the Eutelsat OneWeb low-earth-orbit constellation, supporting broadband speeds of up to 195Mbps download and 32Mbps upload, and comprises two line-replaceable units, a flat-panel electronically steered antenna paired with either an SDR gateway or AVANCE router. The compact architecture keeps installation minimally invasive, limiting aircraft downtime. Around 200 BBJ 737s in the global fleet regularly fly the international routes the system is designed to serve.

Based at Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown, Delaware, Aloft AeroArchitects carries out completions, inspections, overhauls, maintenance and auxiliary fuel system installations for large-cabin head of state, VVIP and commercial derivative and government aircraft. Its facilities include an FAA Part 145 repair station, STC and PMA ODA and engineering services, and aircraft systems manufacturing. Aloft is an authorised Boeing BBJ service centre, and its manufacturing, ODA and engineering teams support detailed design and complex certification work for projects worldwide. The company holds maintenance authorisations and ratings from the FAA, EASA, UAE GCAA, Bermuda DCA and other regulatory bodies.
