Overview

The Citation CJ2, Model 525A, is an upgrade of the Citation CJ1, and was first delivered in 2000. It has a stretched cabin and wingspan along with increased speed, range and payload capacity. Powered by two Williams-Rolls FJ44-2C turbofan engines, each offering 2,400 lb of thrust, the CJ2 can be single pilot operated and can take off in 3,420 ft at sea level, or in 5,080 ft on a runway at an altitude of 5,000 ft. The first CJ2 delivery took place in 2000.

The newer CJ2+ has updated avionics, increased performance and FADEC controls and is powered by two Williams-Rolls FJ44-3A-24 engines. The FAA granted type certification on 3 October, 2005 and the first CJ2+ was delivered in April 2006.
