Wisk to bring autonomous air taxis to Greater Houston
February 24, 2024
Wisk will assess locations for a vertiport and potential training and maintenance facilities at Sugar Land Regional airport as a gateway for a larger network through routes connecting the Greater Houston region.
The document targets the safe initiation of uncrewed UAM passenger ops in the US national airspace system by the end of this decade, while providing a stepping stone to transitioning to high-throughput operations.
Wisk Aero has conducted Los Angeles' first public air taxi flights and held discussions with local and city officials about implementing AAM within the region.
