Next-generation aircraft companies Archer, Joby, Wisk and Beta have each expressed support for the Department of Transportation’s plan.

Wisk aircraft are all-electric and autonomous, with dedicated human oversight from a ground-based multi-vehicle supervisor, a model Wisk believes is key to achieving high levels of safety, scalability and affordability.

The agreement covers development, certification and production of electro-mechanical actuation systems for Wisk’s autonomous, all-electric eVTOL aircraft.
