Wisk and Signature Aviation sign agreement to develop autonomous AAM infrastructure
The agreement focuses on vertiport planning in key US launch markets and initial development work at Ellington Airport in Houston.

Wisk Aero and Signature Aviation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance infrastructure and operational planning for autonomous advanced air mobility operations across Signature’s network. The agreement covers sites in Wisk’s US launch markets including Houston, Los Angeles and Miami.

Planning will assess vertiport location feasibility, alongside the commercial, financial, regulatory, technical and operational steps required for integration.

Work has already begun at Signature’s Ellington Airport facilities in Houston, developing vertiport concepts, layouts, workflows and infrastructure for Wisk’s Gen 6 aircraft and passenger operations. The project also supports Wisk’s presence in Texas and its engagement with the Houston Airport System and City of Sugar Land.

Dan Dalton, VP of global partnerships at Wisk, says: “We are very excited to collaborate with Signature Aviation to pioneer the future of autonomous flight. Together, we’re building the robust infrastructure and integrated network essential for safe, scaled operations, starting with our focused efforts at Ellington.”

Derek DeCross, chief commercial officer at Signature Aviation, adds: “Advanced air mobility offers a transformative opportunity for our industry, and with Wisk, we’re exploring the infrastructure and strategy needed to extend our exceptional guest experience across the network.”
