Action Aviation builds client base for charter development
Action Aviation has launched a division to develop charter, leasing and aircraft management business. But Lisa Wilson, the new director responsible for its development says: "We are not looking, at present, at having our own AOC. We are developing the charter side as a brokerage in terms of building the client base. We are looking to expand the aircraft management side on both the fixed wing and helicopter side."

Action Aviation is the U.K.-based MD Helicopter and Sino Swearingen SJ30 business jet distributor. She says: "Charter and long-term leasing opportunities will provide Action Aviation's clients with the convenience and flexibility of helicopter and fixed wing travel anywhere in the world."

The new service will be marketed at major sporting events including this year's Formula One Grand Prix in England at Silverstone from 6 to 8 July 2007, Royal Ascot, FA Cup football final and the Rugby World Cup. "Bookings have been well above expectation due to the availability of the latest generation of helicopters in the marketplace," says Wilson.

Action Aviation, founded by chairman Hamish Harding, markets high-performance business jets and helicopters and is part of the Action Group of companies with offices in the U.K., U.S., Dubai, India, France, Denmark and Switzerland.
