Dassault Aviation is unveiling plans to offer the fourth-generation Honeywell Aerospace EASy IV flight deck on the production Falcon 2000LXS, as well as making it available as a retrofit for all Falcon 2000 EASy series.
EASy IV delivers faster processing power, sharper displays and new functions, 2D and 3D airport moving maps, new Jeppesen chart features, a next-generation flight management system with RNP approach capability and more. When combined with the FalconEye combined vision system, pilots can navigate more safely through almost any weather, with improved situational awareness during low-visibility approaches.
“Dassault Aviation has consistently upgraded the 2000 series to improve performance, capability, comfort and connectivity,” remarks Eric Trappier, chairman and CEO, Dassault Aviation. “This latest step keeps the flight deck at the leading edge and will keep the 2000 series a strong market competitor in the years ahead. It modernises the existing fleet and enhances aircraft value.”
The 2000 series is Dassault's best-selling business aircraft, with more than 700 produced since entering service in 1995. Dassault Aviation decided to upgrade the jet because of its continued popularity worldwide and to add features that support future regulations. The 2000LXS offers a 4,000 nm range, fuel economy, traditional Falcon short-field performance and large-cabin comfort. The Falcon 2000LXS has shipped from the factory with EASy II as standard since its EASA and FAA certifications in 2013, making it the sole current-production Falcon that has not yet carried EASy IV.
“This upgrade reflects our commitment to giving owners and operators the latest technology to boost their productivity. The 2000 series has always stood out for its ability to access almost any airport with comfort and efficiency. That market strength will be reinforced with the addition of the latest avionics,” adds Carlos Brana, executive vice president, civil aircraft.
“Dassault Aviation and Honeywell Aerospace have worked together for decades to deliver advanced technologies that support safe, efficient and reliable operations for Falcon operators around the world,” says Linnea Whisler, president, commercial original equipment, Honeywell Aerospace. “The selection of EASy IV for the Falcon 2000 demonstrates our shared commitment to continuously improving safety and the flying experience while helping operators meet evolving operational and regulatory requirements.”
EASy IV was first announced in October 2022, when Dassault said it would be standard on the Falcon 6X from mid-2023 and on all new-build Falcon 8X aircraft from the same year. The Dassault Falcon Service Mérignac facility already offers EASy IV upgrades among its STC solutions.
