SyberJet Aircraft has unveiled the SJ34 at NBAA-BACE, a single-pilot jet that will replace the FAA-certified SJ30-2, and opened reservations for both the SJ34 and the larger SJ36. The evening also saw the debut of a full-scale SJ36 mockup and the company’s SyberVision avionics system.
In August of this year, the SJ30-2 set an unofficial East-to-West transcontinental speed record in the C-1.f aircraft class, flying nonstop from Jacksonville, Florida to San Diego, California in approximately 4 hours and 7 minutes at an average speed of 505.3mph. Piloted by Gordon “Gordy” Bryan with CEO Trevor Milton aboard, the flight beat the 339.4mph record set by the Embraer Phenom 300 in 2013 by 48%.
The SJ34 will be upgraded with SyberVision avionics, larger Williams engines delivering between 5,000 and 6,400lb of thrust in total and an interior to match the SJ36. It will hold seven seats in total, including pilot(s). The SJ34 is expected to cruise at up to Mach 0.83, with a range of up to 2,500nm, a true sea-level cabin pressure maintained up to 41,000ft and a climb capability to 49,000ft. The larger engines improve take-off performance, allowing better high-and-hot performance. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2029.
First revealed in September 2025, the SJ36 is a single-pilot jet designed to bridge the light jet and midsize jet markets. It is designed to fly more than 3,000nm nonstop, reach speeds of Mach 0.88, maintain sea-level cabin pressure up to 41,000ft and climb to 49,000ft. It will have SyberVision avionics and nine seats in total, including pilot(s). Deliveries are expected to begin in 2032.
SyberVision features six 4K touchscreen displays, over-the-air updates, SyberPilot AI-assisted flight, smarter taxi and SyberVision Charts. Pilots will be able to connect directly to the aircraft, upload flight plans and control cabin temperature remotely, while SyberJet will be able to perform remote maintenance, diagnose issues and prepare a fix as soon as the customer lands.
The Passage One programme is limited to the first 250 customers. It includes an SJ34 launch price of $10 million instead of $12 million and an SJ36 launch price of $14 million instead of $16 million. Members also receive 1,000 hours or five years of tip-to-tail coverage for the entire aircraft excluding consumables, 1,000 hours or five years of the Williams TAP Blue engine maintenance programme, fuel for 1,000 hours or five years (limited to 100,000 gallons) through the Syber Fuel programme and two pilot type-rating training slots. All time-limited benefits apply whichever comes first.
Milton says: “The full-scale SJ36 mockup represents what the production aircraft is expected to look like.”
He adds: “With the SyberJet Passage One programme, you could save millions of dollars over the competition and never worry about anything but factory support.”
Headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, with operations in San Antonio, Texas and Cedar City, Utah, SyberJet builds the SJ30. It will continue sharing progress toward SJ36 certification, including flight test milestones and programme updates.
