SyberJet secures more than fifty SJ36 commitments
Charter operators, corporate flight departments and private owners have committed to more than 50 of the Mach 0.88 light jets, with several customers reserving multiple aircraft.
The company presented the SJ36 mockup on the eve of NBAA-BACE.

SyberJet Aircraft has received letters of intent (LOIs) for more than 50 SJ36 light jets after presenting a full-scale mockup of the aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport in Las Vegas on 19 October.

The LOIs come from across business aviation, including charter operators, corporate flight departments and private owners, with several customers reserving multiple aircraft. They follow SyberJet World, held on the eve of NBAA-BACE, which gave customers, operators and industry guests from around the world their first look at the SJ36 and working SyberVision avionics panels.

Trevor Milton, CEO of SyberJet Aircraft, says: “SyberJet World was the first time our customers could walk up to the SJ36 and see what they have committed to, and the response was incredible. More than 50 commitments tells us the market has been waiting for innovation.”

He adds: “Light jet buyers have always had to choose between speed, range and cost. The SJ36 lets them have all three.”

Evolving from the FAA-certified SJ30-2, the single-pilot SJ36 is designed to be the fastest and farthest-flying light jet ever built, with a projected maximum speed of Mach 0.88, a range of up to 3,000nm and a 49,000ft ceiling. That performance puts the SJ36 in midsize-jet territory while keeping light jet economics. It is designed to fly non-stop routes such as Los Angeles to Hawaii and Teterboro to Los Angeles, with charter rates that could drop by up to 50 per cent compared with midsize jets.

Under the Passage One programme, limited to the first 250 customers, the SJ36 has a launch price of $14 million against a list price of $16 million. Reservations have also opened for the SJ34, which will replace the SJ30-2. SJ34 deliveries are due to begin in 2029 and SJ36 deliveries are expected to begin in 2032.

SyberJet is headquartered in Chandler, Arizona and has operations in San Antonio, Texas and Cedar City, Utah.
