Prince Aviation hosted the annual summit of the Citation Mustang Interest Group (CMIG) at its Belgrade Airport facility from 4 to 6 June, bringing together owners, operators, manufacturers and suppliers from across Europe's business aviation sector.
Representatives from Textron Aviation, Pratt & Whitney Canada, CAMP Systems, Garmin and ForeFlight joined Citation Mustang operators and owners for the event, which also included interior refurbishment, connectivity and support service providers.
Founded in Germany in 2018, CMIG aims to unite European Citation Mustang owners and provide a collective voice on issues such as maintenance and spare parts availability.
Alongside the conference programme, attendees toured Prince Aviation's maintenance facility and took part in cultural activities around the Serbian capital.
“Being an aircraft owner can be quite a challenging process. Our company is a one-stop shop that offers business jet owners all the services they need, from CAMO services in both Serbia and Slovenia to full line and base maintenance on the entire Cessna 500 series, together with hot section inspections of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW600 series engines installed on the Citation Mustang,” says Srđan Kragojević, CEO of Prince Aviation. “By hosting CMIG, we are connecting OEMs and end users, bringing some of the best-known names in our industry to Belgrade.”
Alexander Pichler of CMIG says attendees were impressed by the facility and technology on display during the visit. “It’s our first time in Belgrade and we are absolutely amazed by the facility; a brand new, very clean and professional setup with a huge hangar. All the members here have reported outstanding feedback,” he says. “The facility tour was very impressive, especially seeing the latest technology Prince Aviation is working with. Our members are not only Citation Mustang owners, some are still flying piston or turboprop aircraft on their way into the jet segment, while others have transitioned to the CJ3+, Phenom or HondaJet but remain part of the community. Today we count more than 50 members, including over 20 aircraft owners.”
