General aviation’s US economic impact grows to $339 billion
A PwC study has found that general aviation supports 1.33 million jobs and contributes $339.2 billion to the U.S. economy.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and seven other aviation groups have welcomed an updated study on general aviation’s economic contributions. Conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the study found that general aviation supports 1,330,200 jobs and generates $339.2 billion in economic output, an increase from the last report in 2020.

NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen says, “This study powerfully demonstrates general aviation's essential and growing role in creating jobs, supporting economic activity, connecting communities and helping companies of all sizes succeed, nationally and in every state. This authoritative report will be valuable in our industry's work to educate policymakers and opinion leaders about the sector's size and central role in the nation's economy and transportation system.”

Based on 2023 data, the PwC study calculated general aviation’s direct, indirect, induced and enabled economic impacts across the U.S.
