CTR Atmospherica Aviation has invested in two new Phenom 300E jets. The Czech operator says that its fleet strategy has always been guided by foresight and precision. The recent investment in these aircraft is a continuation of a philosophy that began in September 2017, when the company first selected the Phenom 300 as the cornerstone of its operations. Delivered in 2018, that first aircraft set the stage for what has now become a young and dynamic European fleet.
Over time, the fleet grew to four aircraft, three of which were already Phenom 300Es. By adding two more in September of this year, Atmospherica now operates six Phenom 300E, with a near-term plan to sell its oldest 2018 model. The result is a streamlined fleet of five Phenom 300Es and two Praetor 600s, with an average fleet age of just 1.6 years. Four Phenom 300E will serve the commercial charter market full-time, while the fifth will act as a backup aircraft, ready to cover unexpected AOG situations, longer maintenance periods or other operational challenges. This ensures that clients never face disruption and can always rely on seamless service.
Because Atmospherica owns all of its aircraft and uses them for commercial use only, the strategy is clear: maintain a perfect image in terms of reliability and service, maximise utilisation, keep the ferry factor low and follow the market demands. This business model, coupled with the commitment to renew the aircraft every six to seven years, allows Atmospherica to maintain one of the youngest, most reliable and most attractive fleets in the market.
“The Phenom 300E itself requires little introduction,” enthuses board member Alice Horvath-Muska. “It has been the world’s best-selling light jet for 13 consecutive years, a testament to its appeal in the segment. Its reliability, spacious cabin and range of over four hours make it an ideal choice for European missions.”
Furthermore, Atmospherica also owns and operates two factory-new Embraer Praetor 600s (YOM 2024 and 2025) in the super midsize category, introducing long-range capability of up to nine hours. This enables popular routes, such as to the Middle East, the Canary Islands or long north-south missions across Europe, from Portugal or Spain to Scandinavia. During the winter season, destinations such as Rovaniemi in Finland, home to Santa’s village, and Dubai are especially in demand.
Horvath-Muska continues: “For clients, Atmospherica goes beyond aircraft. Every detail matters, from complimentary unlimited internet on board the Praetors to the company covering all de-icing costs to bespoke catering curated by a dedicated three-person catering team in Prague that works closely with crews in the air. These touches reinforce Atmospherica’s reputation for reliability, flexibility and premium service.”
Looking ahead, the ambitions remain clear: stay strong and finish strong. After several years of stable demand and continued trust from clients and partners, Atmospherica aims to close the year defending its title as ‘Charter Operator of the Year 2024’ again in 2025 as it has once more been nominated as a finalist at the Air Charter Association Awards.
