Scandinavian Avionics to service Nighthawk’s legacy systems
A dedicated European service presence has been established at Billund Airport, covering in-house repairs and a spares pool for AOG exchange and loaner units.
Scandinavian Avionics will hold a spares pool for AOG exchange and loaner units.

Scandinavian Avionics has agreed a support partnership with Nighthawk Flight Systems to provide dedicated service and support for Nighthawk's legacy avionics systems across Europe. The arrangement is based at Scandinavian Avionics' headquarters at Billund Airport in Denmark.

Under the agreement, Scandinavian Avionics will carry out in-house repairs and establish a spares pool for AOG exchange and loaner units, giving European operators and dealers of Nighthawk's legacy systems local support, installation guidance and servicing. Scandinavian Avionics will also provide ILS and dealer coordination for operators throughout Europe.

Paul Martin, CEO of Nighthawk Flight Systems, says: “Local support for our customers is a priority, and it becomes even more important as our footprint grows internationally. Operators that have trusted Nighthawk systems for years deserve a service partner that is close by, knows the equipment and can respond quickly. Scandinavian Avionics has built exactly that kind of reputation across Europe, and we are proud to bring that level of reliability to our customers there.”

Michael R. Truelsen, CEO of Scandinavian Avionics, adds: “At The SA Group, we strive to provide fast and efficient service to our customers in the international aviation market, and with almost 50 years of experience in avionics and instruments component maintenance and integrated logistics support, we are confident that this joint investment with our long-term partners Nighthawk will provide a new level of support internationally and confirm our mutual commitment towards operators in Europe and beyond.”

Nighthawk specialises in compact avionics systems for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft across the general aviation, business, air transport and military markets, and is a world leader in Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems, including HeliTAWS. The company is AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified.

The SA Group, established in 1978 and headquartered at Billund, provides avionics sales, MRO, certification, design, engineering, installation, production and training services. It is represented in nine countries at 12 locations across Europe, the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia.
