Veryon has acquired Polaris Aero, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based aviation safety software specialist, folding the company's risk and compliance tools into its maintenance software portfolio.

Founded in 2007, Polaris Aero has supplied safety management systems to corporate flight departments, charter operators and MROs worldwide. Its product line, including VOCUS SMS, FlightRisk and GroundRisk, is used to track compliance, assess operational risk and support safety programmes. The deal brings more than 200 customers into Veryon's portfolio.

The acquisition also merges datasets: Polaris Aero's de-identified records span over 112,000 safety reports, more than 32 million FlightRisk assessments and upwards of 174 million logged flight hazards. Combined with Veryon's own dataset of over 100 million maintenance events, the pooled data will feed Veryon AIRE, its AI-powered analytics platform, aimed at sharpening insight into both safety risk and maintenance needs.

In the short term, Polaris Aero will continue to operate as a separate business unit, with existing products, contracts and support unaffected. Over the coming months, the two companies plan to map out a longer-term integration, combining maintenance tracking, MRO management and safety management under a single provider while pairing Polaris Aero's safety specialists with Veryon's maintenance specialists for shared customer support.
