Western Aircraft has completed its first Dassault Falcon 8X 1C inspection, the most comprehensive scheduled maintenance event for Falcon aircraft.

The 1C inspection is required every 96 months or 4,000 flight cycles, whichever comes first, and involves the removal of all exterior panels and significant interior components. The project scope included the full 1C inspection, associated service bulletin compliance work, a Honeywell EASy IV cockpit upgrade and a dual Garmin GI 275 installation.

Western Aircraft's Boise, Idaho facility received its first designation as a heavy jet service centre from Dassault Falcon Jet in 2001 and has since completed more than 140 C-checks across the Falcon fleet, including the 50, 900, 2000 and 7X models. The project marked Western Aircraft's first 1C inspection of a Falcon 8X.

Western Aircraft supports the full range of in-service Falcon models, including the 50, 900, 2000, 7X and 8X series, with capabilities spanning heavy maintenance, modifications, aircraft-on-ground response, avionics retrofits and interior refurbishments from its Boise facility.
