Sky Aircraft Maintenance (SAM) has become an authorised Garmin Aviation dealer, adding factory-authorised avionics sales, installation, integration and support to its capabilities.
The Lexington, North Carolina-based maintenance provider, part of the Atlantic Jet Partners group, can now support a broad range of Garmin upgrades for private and business aircraft operators, from individual avionics improvements to full cockpit modernisation programmes.
The dealership opens access to Garmin's portfolio of navigation systems, flight displays, digital autopilots, ADS-B equipment, connected aircraft technologies and integrated flight deck upgrades.
A key offering for business aircraft operators is Garmin's G5000 integrated flight deck retrofit programme, available for aircraft including the Beechjet 400A, Hawker 400XP and Citation 560XL, Excel and XLS series. The retrofit replaces legacy avionics architecture with touchscreen flight deck controllers, advanced navigation systems, digital autopilot integration, wireless cockpit technology and enhanced situational awareness features.
For operators of mature aircraft types, the programme offers a route to address avionics obsolescence while extending aircraft service life and improving long-term supportability.
Sky Aircraft Maintenance can also provide GTN Xi navigator installations, TXi flight display upgrades, GI 275 electronic flight instrument retrofits, Garmin digital autopilot installations, ADS-B compliance solutions and broader avionics modernisation projects.
“Aircraft owners and operators are looking for solutions that improve capability, reduce pilot workload and help protect the long-term value of their aircraft,” says Christopher Arnett, Sky Aircraft Maintenance. “Garmin continues to lead the industry with products that accomplish those goals, and we're excited to bring those solutions to our customers as an authorised Garmin dealer.”
Garmin upgrades can now be carried out alongside inspections, maintenance events, connectivity installations and interior refurbishment work during a single visit, reducing aircraft downtime.
