Honeywell’s Aspire 350 satcom system has been selected by Dassault Aviation for ongoing integration across its Falcon business jet family. Certification is already in place for the Falcon 2000 and Falcon 6X, while installation on the Falcon 8X is expected this month. The system will also be line-fitted on the Falcon 10X, with aftermarket STC solutions progressing for the Falcon 900 and 7X.
Aspire 350 provides high-speed connectivity to both the cockpit and the cabin via the Iridium Certus satellite network. Pilots can access real-time weather and FANS data link services, while passengers benefit from internet speeds of up to 704 kilobits per second for messaging, calls and browsing.
Honeywell recently became the first satcom provider to receive FAA TSO certification for a hybrid cockpit-and-cabin system.
“We're excited to work with Dassault to provide Falcon Jet operators with Aspire 350,” says Honeywell Aerospace Technologies’ vice president and general manager of services and connectivity, Steve Hadden. “Aspire 350 is a next-generation solution providing safety, voice and data services to the aircraft cockpit while simultaneously enabling a consistently connected experience for passengers in the cabin who want to take their productivity from ground to air and back again.”
