TAG Aviation's Angel Wun has completed her line check and is now officially a Gulfstream G650 junior first officer. This milestone underscores TAG's commitment to developing and nurturing talent within the aviation industry through its TAG Trained Pilot (TTP) programme.

Wun's achievement demonstrates the success of the TTP programme, a cornerstone of TAG Aviation's talent development strategy for nearly a decade. The TTP programme exemplifies TAG Aviation's ‘Aviator DNA’ and dedication to cultivating the next generation of skilled pilots.

“We are proud of Angel and her accomplishment,” shares Juan Mas, director of flight operations. “Her success demonstrates the effectiveness of our investment in young talent and reinforces that our people are our greatest asset.”

One of TAG Aviation's key differentiators is its commitment to addressing the industry-wide challenge of a shortage of properly trained and qualified business aviation professionals. Through comprehensive training, mentorship and development programmes, TAG Aviation provides a supportive environment where individuals can reach their full potential.

Wun's journey started as a safety officer when joining TAG Aviation back in 2018. After being accepted onto the TAG Pilot Training Scheme in 2019, she has excelled, earning instrument and multi-engine training approval, including being awarded the Sir Donald Anderson Award for her CASA ATPL results. Now six years later after a lot of hard work, she is enjoying her status as junior first officer.

“I shall always be grateful and honoured for the opportunity TAG has given me to reach this point in my career. I am so proud to be part of this amazing programme,” she comments.

Established nearly 10 years ago, the TTP programme reflects TAG Aviation's heritage and its proactive approach to ensuring the sustainability of the company and the industry. The programme includes initiatives such as the fully sponsored Trained Pilot Programme at Flight Training Adelaide in Australia, launched in 2016. This programme provides aspiring aviators with intense flight training, instructor rating qualifications and the opportunity to gain experience as flight instructors before returning to TAG Aviation.

“At TAG Aviation, we believe in investing in the future of our people,” concludes Steven Young, president. “Angel's journey reinforces TAG Aviation's position as a leader in talent development.”
