Diamond Aircraft has launched a Diamond Authorized Training Centers (DATC) programme for flight training organisations operating its aircraft. FTOs recognised under the scheme will receive OEM endorsement, branding rights and operational support.
Flight schools applying for DATC recognition must pass inspection by Diamond Aircraft’s flight training team. Facilities, procedures and instructional quality are all reviewed.
The first four organisations to sign letters of intent are Air Colleg Consulting in Germany, Fliegerschule St. Gallen-Altenrein in Switzerland, Wings Over Holland in the Netherlands and Egmont Aviation in Slovenia. The agreements were signed at AERO Friedrichshafen 2025.
Jane Wang, director for sales, marketing and flight operations at Diamond Aircraft Austria, says: “The stamp of approval we, as an OEM, can provide FTOs through the DATC programme means students will know that they are not only learning to fly in the ultimate training aircraft but the training they are receiving is first-class too.”
Air Colleg’s managing director Felix Michnacs adds: “Evolving our long-standing partnership with Diamond Aircraft by being selected as the first Diamond Authorized Training Center in Germany is an incredible honour and milestone for us.”
Fliegerschule’s head of training Silvan Sauter says: “The partnership with Diamond Aircraft is a significant milestone. It highlights our commitment to providing the highest quality training.”
Wings Over Holland CEO Luuk van Hooijdonk notes the “thankful recognition” of the company’s long-standing role as a Diamond dealer since 1993.
Egmont Aviation co-founder Aljaž Ferjančič says the partnership “ensures our graduates will be well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the aviation industry.”
