Pilatus has selected Garmin’s G3000 Prime integrated flight deck as the foundation of its Advanced Cockpit Environment for the PC-12 PRO. The upgrade features touchscreen displays, enhanced connectivity and automation tools aimed at improving safety and reducing pilot workload across all flight phases.
The G3000 Prime flight deck introduces three 14-inch primary displays and two seven-inch secondary units with multi-touch functionality, increased screen area and quadruple the system memory. Pilatus pilots can use Garmin’s cursor control device or touchscreen to operate synthetic vision, graphical flight planning, live maps and interactive checklists.
Garmin vice president of aviation sales Carl Wolf says: “The G3000 Prime will significantly modernise the cockpit experience in the PC-12 PRO, and we are confident Pilatus customers will enjoy the state-of-the-art system with all of the safety tool features it includes.”
Pilatus CEO Markus Bucher adds: “This trusted relationship has developed an incredible airplane and cockpit that will set a new standard in business aviation.”
Pilatus has fully customised the interface, integrating its own CCD and tailoring fonts, icons and menu layout to match its visual style. The Window Manager enables quick changes to layout based on the flight phase, while the Modified Flight Plan feature allows graphical previews of routing alternatives and performance calculations.
The PC-12 PRO cockpit includes Autonomí safety technologies such as Autoland, Emergency Descent Mode, Smart Glide and Electronic Stability Protection. Smart checklists linked to alerts guide pilots through procedures and even confirm aircraft configuration items. Additional enhancements include a higher refresh rate, better visibility from cockpit glazing changes and a modernised yoke based on the PC-24.
The aircraft is also fitted with Garmin’s PlaneSync connected management system and supports CPDLC for faster clearances. Connext satellite services, LTE and wi-fi ensure pilots stay connected in flight.
Cabin upgrades include all-new cabinetry, a fresh interior design and colour schemes inspired by digital aesthetics. Outside, aerodynamic refinements and bold liveries reflect the modernisation effort.
The PC-12 PRO retains the Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine, updated with the EPECS autothrottle system to reduce workload and emissions while improving fuel efficiency. It is ready for SAF usage and delivers a quieter flight experience.
The G3000 Prime flight deck and PC-12 PRO aircraft have been certified. Deliveries are expected to begin in late 2025.
