Nomad Technics, the maintenance division of Swiss business jet operator Nomad Aviation AG, has successfully completed a C-check on a Boeing BBJ aircraft at its Basel facility. The maintenance involved a thorough examination of the aircraft's primary and secondary structures, which necessitated the removal of the entire cabin.
Key tasks in the process included an overhaul of the landing gear, the implementation of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives and defect rectification on aircraft systems, structural components and interior items. To enhance passenger comfort, a partial cabin refurbishment was performed, which included new carpeting throughout the cabin and customised modifications to the in-flight entertainment system. The work concluded with functional and operational tests of all aircraft systems.
“The successful completion of this demanding C-check on the Boeing BBJ is another great achievement for Nomad Technics and will enable us to further enhance our capabilities and execute maintenance services not only on Boeing but also on a variety of other aircraft types,” says Christophe Haeffelin, director of operations.
“We are very proud of our Boeing maintenance team and the entire organisation behind it, which has been performing extremely well. It will be our great pleasure to welcome owners and operators of Boeing aircraft at our Basel facility to demonstrate our highly skilled VVIP aircraft maintenance, refurbishment and bespoke aviation services,” adds CEO Thomas Gierlich.
