eVertiSKY Corp, a developer of urban air mobility (UAM) infrastructure, has acquired Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions, a provider of dual-use charging solutions and vertiports.

Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions, now integrated into eVertiSKY as Volatus powered by eSkyBridge, brings technology that serves UAM aircraft and ground vehicles. This dual-use charging technology strengthens the eSkyBridge platform, providing vertiport developers, aircraft operators and fleet managers with an infrastructure solution that meets future energy demands.

The acquisition was completed under undisclosed terms. The combined valuation of the two companies is $262 million, enhancing eVertiSKY's eSkyBridge UAM platform by expanding its ability to support electric and hybrid-electric vehicles, both in the air and on the ground.

“Integrating Volatus into our eSkyBridge UAM platform is a strategic milestone,” says CEO Sandra Formenton. “Its dual-use charging technology complements our existing solutions, allowing us to offer a more robust platform to our clients. This acquisition expands our offerings and reinforces our commitment to leading the UAM industry with sustainable infrastructure solutions.”

Volatus is recognised for its charging systems, designed to optimise energy distribution for aerial and ground-based electric vehicles. These solutions are essential for UAM vertiports and are now a key component of the eSkyBridge platform. By integrating Volatus' technology, eVertiSKY offers a scalable solution that addresses the energy infrastructure needs of tomorrow's urban environments.

“Joining eVertiSKY and the eSkyBridge UAM platform allows us to scale our technology and impact the future of urban mobility,” says Grant Fisk, former CEO of Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions. “We are excited to contribute to eVertiSKY's vision and work together to deliver infrastructure solutions for the evolving UAM and ground vehicle markets.”
