The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has published its Second Quarter 2026 General Aviation Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report, showing higher overall shipments and increased billings for the first half of the year compared with the same period in 2025.

Piston airplane shipments fell 3.1% to 786 units, while turboprops rose 7.8% to 289 units and business jets rose 8.2% to 383 units. Airplane billings for the first six months totalled $14.3 billion, up 15.5% on the same period last year.

Helicopter shipments also increased. Piston helicopter deliveries rose 5.8% to 110 units and turbine helicopter deliveries rose 3.3% to 309 units. Civil-commercial helicopter billings for the period reached $2.2 billion.

The figures cover the first two quarters of 2026 and reflect year-on-year comparisons with H1 2025 across both fixed-wing and rotorcraft segments. Business jets and turboprops recorded the strongest unit gains among airplane categories, while turbine helicopters accounted for the larger share of rotorcraft deliveries.
