C&L-modified Saabs are the stuff of Legends
The Saab 340 is a versatile aircraft in passenger or cargo configuration. That, combined with the aircraft's performance, makes it a popular aircraft for operators around the world. C&L is well-versed in the type.
Legends views C&L as a one-stop-shop.

Lakeland, Florida-based Legends Airways has signed a contract with C&L Aerospace for the sale of six Saab 340 aircraft. C&L, which is converting all six aircraft for freighter operations, has delivered the first two aircraft, with the remaining four being delivered by the end of 2021. C&L is also supporting Legends with parts and technical expertise.

“We came to C&L not only because it had the aircraft inventory we needed, but also because it has the in-depth knowledge and experience needed to support the Saab 340,” says Legends CEO Jon Hierl. “It just made sense to partner with the world's leader in Saab 340 sales and support.”

The Saab 340 is a versatile aircraft in either passenger or cargo configuration. That, combined with the aircraft's superior performance in its class, makes it a popular aircraft for operators around the world.

“We have been very pleased to work with Legends and assist it in the successful launch of these aircraft,” adds C&L CEO Chris Kilgour. “Our commitment to be a one-stop solution for Saab operators has made us an ideal partner to meet Legends' requirements.”

For over 20 years, C&L has been a leader in the aftermarket sale and support of the Saab aircraft. The company stocks Saab inventory in its globally located warehouses and provides a one-stop solution for operators at its MRO facility in Bangor, Maine, offering heavy maintenance, aircraft paint, avionics upgrades, structural modifications, engineering support and interior refurbishment.

Legends Airways is an FAA Part 135 on-demand air carrier currently operating in the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Legends Airways also owns an FAA Part 141 and Part 61 flight school. This unique combination provides an advantage over most Part 135 operators, allowing Legends to train safe, responsible and professional pilots, and maintain a pipeline of skilled and competent first officers into its air carrier operation. The company recently acquired a Tecnam P2006T for training.
