Honeywell approval adds Phenom connectivity
EASA certification allows Altenrhein Aviation to install and upgrade Honeywell's compact and lightweight connectivity solutions on Phenom 300 aircraft.

Honeywell has received certification from EASA for the installation of its most economical connectivity solution, the Aspire 200, and the GoDirect Router on Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft through Swiss MRO Altenrhein Aviation. The offering can deliver cabin voice and data needs at the highest performance levels to business passengers, making a phone call in the air just as reliable as it is on the ground.

“Since entering the business aviation market, Altenrhein Aviation has remained dedicated to being a one-stop shop for preserving performance and maintenance standards for business operators through the use of efficient and innovative technology,” says Altenrhein managing director Natascha Rode. “Introducing Honeywell's Aspire 200 satellite communication system and GoDirect solutions for the Phenom 300 platform will ensure we deliver reliable connectivity to both the cabin and cockpit, which is one of the ways we are enhancing our service centre experience for business jets, to help increase efficiencies.”

Honeywell is working with Altenrhein Aviation to offer tailored and cost-effective solutions across a variety of aircraft from the Cessna 150 up to the biggest A380 aircraft. Operators that make these upgrades can provide passengers with instant wi-fi access from the ground up, ensuring they are never out of touch with the office, friends or family. In addition, Phenom 300 operators across Europe can now access GoDirect Cabin solutions, which are consistently monitored by Honeywell for any health checks and required maintenance, essentially reducing operators' aircraft downtime while benefitting from costs savings through a lighter aircraft weight.
