Ortac is first to receive 2-REG approval in Jersey and bolsters Textron fleet
We say Bravo to Ortac, which now has three Citation types on its newly-acquired Channel Island certificate. The application was stringent but the results will be worth it.

ORTAC AOC (Ortac) has become the first Jersey operator to be awarded an AOC by Guernsey's director of Civil Aviation through the 2-REG aircraft registry. MD Tobi Mathews says: “This exciting development has huge benefits for our clients. Until now, our business has been dealing with private aircraft management and operation, and has provided charter broker services.

“The process of obtaining our AOC from 2-REG has been extremely rigorous, requiring us to demonstrate excellent operational systems and procedures at every level. We have enjoyed a superb relationship with the supportive and professional team at 2-REG throughout. We can now operate aircraft commercially and help our clients to offset their running costs by making their aircraft available for charter.”

Already managing a Citation Bravo, Ortac attended the recent handover at EBACE of a factory-new CJ3+ and an M2, which it will now manage. The operator is looking to have all of these aircraft available on the charter market by the end of this month. “The purchasing process for the CJ3+ and M2 has been seamless, and we are exceptionally pleased with the sales and technical support that we have received from the team at Textron,” comments Mathews.

Ortac is supported by CAMO PB Engineering Solutions, based at Farnborough.
