RAS Completions wins Gulfstream Aerospace paint and refurbishment approval

RAS Completions Ltd of Biggin Hill has taken a major step forward in their aerospace business by winning official approval from the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation for the painting and refurbishment of all types in the range of Gulfstream business aircraft.

In parallel, their sister company RAS Interiors Ltd has been granted approval for the manufacture and installation of items relating to aircraft interiors. Both companies are based at London's Biggin Hill Airport and employ a skilled workforce of 25 people.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation are leading manufacturers of business aircraft, headquartered at Savannah, Georgia, USA. Gulfstream is a General Dynamics Company. The approvals cover all Gulfstream aircraft, from the 100 series up to the large G650 corporate version with intercontinental capability.

The first customer following grant of approval was a Gulfstream G550 from the NetJets fleet of corporate aircraft that entered the RAS Completions facility last month. The aircraft was be stripped to bare metal and receive a new livery in the NetJets style, a process that involves three weeks of carefully programmed work that also includes interior modifications.

Chris Ransley, a director of the RAS Group, says that the award of these approvals will bring welcome opportunities for new business.
