The first aircraft was launched in Östersund in January 2018, with introductions in Gällivare and Lycksele following shortly thereafter. The region of Uppsala switched to the AW169 in the autumn of 2019.

The acquisition adds three Airbus H135s and one H145 to Avincis’ fleet and provides an entry point into the offshore wind market, expanding its presence in the Nordics.

The aircraft will play a multi-functional role during its assignment with the fire service. Its mission scope will include SAR operations, particularly remote and hard-to-reach areas, as well as wildfire surveillance.
