VistaJet expansion plan fuels career opportunities
VistaJet plans to be present in the UK market within weeks offering a London City-based Learjet 40XR and also a Learjet 60XR. The growing presence in the UK is part of the Swiss-headquartered charter operator's plan to triple its fleet in 2008.

VistaJet plans to be present in the UK market within weeks offering a London City-based Learjet 40XR and also a Learjet 60XR. The growing presence in the UK is part of the Swiss-headquartered charter operator's plan to triple its fleet in 2008.

resident and ceo Bing Chen says: "Our expansion plans mean there are many opportunities at VistaJet for ground staff and crew members. Recruitment is via internet, print media and reputation as VistaJet is seen as an employer with an attractive and transparent career structure that employs a seniority list."

VistaJet, he adds, wants to offer the full range of Bombardier business aircraft, ranging from LR40 to Global Express, "to have a solution for every trip and the changing travel needs of our customers." Chen expects VistaJet's Global Express "to be fully available for charter."

The company has a policy of only ordering brand new aircraft. Its strategy is to operate an aircraft only during its first 3,000 hours or for a maximum of three years. "Aircraft purchase and sale will be a revolving process," says Chen. "But, with regard to specifics, and depending on the growth in demand for corporate travel, we do plan to add a Challenger 850 with a 15 passenger capacity."

VistaJet is eyeing the increasing business activity in the Moscow region and the CIS states that were formerly part of the Soviet Union. "We also want to be present in Asian market beginning with a Challenger 604 before the end of the first quarter of this year."
