Trakka partnership expands Do228 NXT sensor capabilities
General Atomics AeroTec Systems adds TrakkaCam TC-375 imaging system as an integrated equipment option for its multi-purpose aircraft.
Following its successful first flight and official world premiere in June 2026, the aircraft is expanding its sensor capabilities.

General Atomics AeroTec Systems (GA-ATS), the German aircraft manufacturer of the Do228 NXT is collaborating with Swedish mission equipment specialist Trakka Systems AB to offer Trakka’s camera systems as an integrated equipment option for the Do228 NXT multi-purpose aircraft.

Following its successful first flight and official world premiere in June 2026, the aircraft is expanding its sensor capabilities. The Do228 NXT is the next generation of the Dornier 228, a versatile multi-role aircraft designed for a wide range of special missions.

The TrakkaCam TC-375 is a gyro-stabilised multispectral imaging system designed for surveillance and reconnaissance across a a variety of mission scenarios. It delivers full HD imagery both day and night, enabling real-time detection and identification, and captures high-resolution images and video to support rapid decision-making.

Potential applications for the TrakkaCam TC-375 include law enforcement, search and rescue, civil protection, military intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and environmental monitoring.

The collaboration between GA-ATS and Trakka Systems expands the mission equipment available for the Do228 NXT as the aircraft moves forward following its first flight and world premiere.
