Production of the first series panel has started, while critical raw materials and system components for final assembly have already been acquired.

GA-Europe completed the acquisition of RUAG Aerospace Services on 1 March, subsequently rebranding it as General Atomics AeroTec Systems. GA-ATS is now the manufacturer and type certificate holder of the Do-228.
