Mente Group has promoted Jay Bushouse to senior managing director as the U.S. business aviation advisory and aircraft brokerage firm continues to expand following a record year in 2025.
Bushouse, who is based in Kansas City, has worked at Mente Group since 2021 and supports clients across the Fortune 500, family office and worldwide flight operations sectors.
The promotion follows a strong period for Mente Group, which says it surpassed $1 billion in aircraft transactions in 2025 while also recording its highest annual transaction volume and largest number of completed deals.
“Jay Bushouse's promotion reflects both his individual performance and the firm's broader expansion strategy,” says Brian Proctor, president and CEO of Mente Group. “Since joining Mente Group, he has played a key role in strengthening the company's presence and delivering high-value advisory services to clients.”
“Jay's promotion is a direct result of his performance, deep industry expertise and commitment to client success,” adds Steve Main, chief revenue officer of Mente Group. “He has consistently demonstrated leadership in the marketplace and across the organisation, and we are excited to see him continue to grow in this expanded role.”
Bushouse has more than 25 years of aviation and sales experience spanning aircraft sales, operations and client advisory roles. Before joining Mente Group, he served as a sales director at Textron Aviation, selling Beechcraft and Cessna Citation aircraft.
He is also an airline transport-rated pilot and former flight instructor with more than 4,500 flight hours and holds a type rating in the Cessna Citation 525 series.
