Blackhawk Group expands into Europe with MCA Aviation deal
The Bournemouth-based engineering firm joins the MCA's group, bringing expertise to its network and extending the reach of its maintenance and upgrade support.
The Bournemouth site becomes the first European location in Blackhawk’s Performance Center network.

The Blackhawk Group has expanded into Europe by adding MCA Aviation to its Performance Center network, marking its first location in the region and its sixth strategic expansion.

Based at Bournemouth International Airport, MCA Aviation brings more than 20 years of maintenance and engineering experience. The facility supports a wide range of aircraft including King Air, Beechjet/400XP, TBM, Piper and Cessna, offering inspections, maintenance, avionics installations, airworthiness support, engine upgrades and pre-buy evaluations.

The site will operate as a Blackhawk Performance Center, with the current team and leadership remaining in place, including managing director Malcolm Craft.

Chad Cundiff, CEO at The Blackhawk Group, says, “MCA's reputation for precision, integrity and technical capability makes it an ideal addition to our network. Its experience with King Airs and avionics installations aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver world class performance and service. This expansion allows us to better support our customers across Europe and the broader international market.”

Malcolm Craft, managing director at MCA Aviation, adds, “We've built MCA on a foundation of quality, trust and technical depth. Becoming part of The Blackhawk Group is a natural evolution for our team and our customers. Together, we're better positioned than ever to deliver exceptional results, whether that means a complete nose-to-tail transformation or a routine inspection.”
