Challenger manager Fagel pleased with Duncan connectivity
Gogo, a decades' long provider of terrestrial-based and GEO satellite in-flight connectivity systems, is now offering a LEO satellite-based system via the Eutelsat OneWeb network. Duncan placed it on a CL605.
Seamless surfing is expected nowadays.

Duncan Aviation customer Alfredo Fagel, a director of aviation, manages a Challenger 605 and has called on Duncan Aviation's facility in Lincoln, Nebraska to install the Gogo Galileo system in his aircraft. Fagel has been extremely pleased with the performance of the Gogo system.

Over the last several years, Duncan Aviation customers have been embracing the nearly global coverage for in-flight connectivity made possible by satellite-based systems. Recent upgrades to these systems have increased available speed and coverage, making it attractive to Duncan Aviation's customers whether they travel domestically or worldwide.

Gogo, a decades' long provider of terrestrial-based and GEO satellite in-flight connectivity systems, is now offering a LEO satellite-based system via the Eutelsat OneWeb network, the Gogo Galileo HDX/FDX. For just as many years, Duncan Aviation's skilled technicians at all three of the company's main facilities and more than two dozen satellite shops have installed hundreds of Gogo connectivity systems for its customers.

“From day one, the Gogo Galileo system has exceeded our expectations. The installation was seamless, the performance has been exceptionally reliable, and the higher speed versus our previous terrestrial-based legacy system has made a dramatic difference on board our Challenger 605,” notes Fagel. “In our operation, dependability is everything, and our new Galileo system has delivered exactly that. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and look forward to relying on it for years to come.”

He was also impressed by the way the technicians at Duncan Aviation handled the stress of installing a relatively new system:

“Installing a system that is new to our industry can be stressful, but Duncan Aviation's team members made sure we had daily updates and made sure we understood every detail of the process from start-to-finish,” he continues.

Duncan is pleased to offer its customers a LEO satellite-based Gogo connectivity system, and the company has access to STCs covering the installation of the system and antenna.

Owner/operators of US-based aircraft can rest easy knowing all of these STCs have FAA approval, and for Duncan's non-US-based customers, several have EASA, TCCA and Brazil's ANAC approval or are awaiting those approvals.

Using the Eutelsat OneWeb's enterprise-grade LEO satellite network, Gogo Galileo HDX will deliver low variability and consistent performance on routes around the world. The HDX delivers fast, low-latency connections, and because of its compact design, it is often a relatively quick upgrade if the aircraft is already equipped with any Gogo Avance system (L3, L5, LX5, and SCS). However, the actual downtime will depend on the equipment and configuration currently in the aircraft.
