Luxaviation puts its faith in hydrogen-electric outfit Beyond
By combining Beyond Aero's certification-driven development approach with Luxaviation's global operational expertise, the partnership ensures that the aircraft is designed to operate seamlessly within the ecosystem.

Luxaviation Group is going to act as the launch operator for France's Beyond Aero, marking a significant step towards the first hydrogen-electric business aircraft's entry into service.

The collaboration moves beyond a traditional partnership to focus on real-world operational readiness, including the definition of mission profiles, deployment scenarios and service integration. Luxaviation's global expertise in business aviation operations will support Beyond Aero in bridging the gap between aircraft development and commercial service to prepare the deployment of hydrogen-electric aviation in Europe.

This milestone reflects Beyond Aero's transition from technology development to programme execution and deployment, as the company advances toward certification, industrialisation and entry into service.

The appointment of Luxaviation as launch operator builds on a series of recent programme achievements that position Beyond Aero among the most advanced hydrogen-electric aviation programmes: completion of the Preliminary Design Review (PDR); validation of its hydrogen-electric propulsion system at TRL6; and successful completion of France's first manned hydrogen-electric flight.

These achievements, combined with early engagement from a global operator such as Luxaviation, position the programme on a credible path toward certification and entry into service.

With Luxaviation as launch operator, Beyond Aero and Luxaviation will jointly structure the operational backbone of hydrogen-electric business aviation, ensuring alignment between aircraft design and real-world operations from the outset. The collaboration will focus on: defining initial mission profiles and priority routes, based on existing customer demand and operational constraints; assessing airport and FBO readiness, including hydrogen infrastructure integration and ground operations; developing operational procedures and safety frameworks aligned with certification requirements; shaping the customer experience, from cabin usage to turnaround operations; and evaluating fleet integration scenarios, including aircraft performance in day-to-day operations.

By combining Beyond Aero's certification-driven development approach with Luxaviation's global operational expertise, the partnership ensures that the aircraft is designed not only to perform but to operate seamlessly within today's aviation ecosystem.

As the aviation industry moves from demonstration to deployment, partnerships between manufacturers and operators are becoming a critical enabler of market entry. Through this collaboration, Luxaviation will support Beyond Aero in preparing airline and charter operations in Europe, helping define how hydrogen-electric aircraft can be integrated into existing networks, infrastructure and customer offerings.

The collaboration is expected to evolve toward demonstration flights and operational validation under EASA frameworks, with the objective of enabling the aircraft's entry into service in real-world conditions.

“Introducing a new propulsion system into business aviation requires operational discipline as much as technological innovation. Partnering with Luxaviation ensures that hydrogen-electric propulsion is prepared for real missions, real operators and real regulatory conditions,” says Eloa Guillotin, CEO of Beyond Aero.

“At Luxaviation, innovation must translate into real-world operations. Partnering with BeyondAero enables us to explore hydrogen-electric propulsion in a practical, responsible way, aligned with our long-term sustainability ambitions and operational excellence,” concludes Caroline Demsar, CEO of Luxaviation France/Malta/Portugal.
