Aviation took centre stage at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in Surrey early this month as more than 800 guests joined Luxaviation UK and Castle Air for this year’s Aviation Polo Cup, raising £20,000 for four charities.

Luxaviation UK, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, won the polo tournament against Castle Air. The event brought together the aviation community for a day of polo, air displays, family entertainment and fundraising for Crowborough Community First Responders, fly2help, Cornwall Air Ambulance and Magpas Air Ambulance.

Philip Amadeus was named Most Valuable Player following the polo match, with the award presented by Signature Aviation, while Kiara, owned by Luxaviation UK team captain Cody Jones, was recognised as Best Playing Pony by London Biggin Hill airport. Avinode Group presented the winner’s trophy to Luxaviation UK.

Entertainment included a Lynx helicopter delivering the match ball, a Yak jets display, a Spitfire display, Gravity Industries jetsuit demonstration and a drone show sponsored by Jetcraft and Jaffa & Co. Guests also enjoyed music from Lo-Fi and Sarah Bo Parker, while younger visitors had a mini Land Rover Safari, fun fair and face painting.

An auction featured 10 prizes alongside four raffle prizes, including a Red Devils experience, London helicopter tour with Castle Air and an empty leg with Luxaviation UK.
