Von der Linden takes the helm of Luxaviation's global flight operations
Sabine von der Linden, one of the first five women to captain a Bombardier Global 7500, has been appointed chief aviation officer of Luxaviation Group. She was previously group standards officer.
Sabine von der Linden is raring to go.

Luxaviation Group has brought in Sabine von der Linden as chief aviation officer. In her new role, von der Linden will take responsibility for the group's aviation operations and report directly to Robert Fisch, president aviation services. Her appointment strengthens Luxaviation's aviation leadership team.

She joined Luxaviation as a captain on the Bombardier Global series and has since gained extensive operational experience across the group, flying under the flags of Portugal, the UAE, Denmark, San Marino and, most recently, the UK. Her expertise in pilot training, assessment and operational standards led her to become an instructor and examiner before joining the management team, initially as an advisor and subsequently as group standards officer.

Before joining Luxaviation Group, she served as captain on the Global 7500 for ExecuJet Aviation Group in Dubai.

Patrick Hansen, CEO of Luxaviation Group, says: “Sabine's appointment reflects the depth of operational expertise within Luxaviation. Her experience in the cockpit, combined with her extensive understanding of training and standards across the group's operations, makes her ideally placed for this position. Safety, consistency and operational excellence will remain fundamental as we continue to develop the group.”

Sabine von der Linden adds: “I am proud to take on this new responsibility. We have exceptional people, experience and expertise across Luxaviation. My priority is to build on the expertise we have across Luxaviation and continue developing our people through practical, meaningful training. I want our crews to feel supported, confident and prepared for the decisions they face every day. We are committed to meeting the needs of business aviation today while preparing our operations for what comes next.”

She succeeds Robert Fisch, who took on the role of president aviation services earlier this year after serving as chief aviation officer for almost 10 years. During this period, Fisch oversaw significant development across Luxaviation's aviation operations, including new AOCs, bases and aircraft types, with safety and operational standards at the centre.

Von der Linden began her aviation career as a flight attendant in 1999 before qualifying as a pilot and progressing to captain.
