Reiser gains EASA certification for H145 D3 XR sim
Full regulatory approval confirms the mixed-reality device meets EASA FTD-3 standards, enabling immediate deployment and fast training start times for operators.
The H145 D3 XR combines mixed-reality visuals with a fully haptic cockpit and roll-on or roll-off modular technology, a configuration now formally validated through certification.

Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH has secured full qualification for its H145 D3 XR simulator from Luftfahrt-Bundesamt under European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards, confirming the device as a flight training device Level 3 (FTD-3).

The mixed-reality simulator, first shown in pre-qualification form at European Rotors 2025, completed final evaluation at Reiser’s German facility, where regulators confirmed compliance with all requirements with zero findings.

Reiser has also received approval from the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt to carry out full qualification processes in-house under regulatory oversight. This allows both full flight simulators and training devices to be delivered as fully EASA-qualified systems, requiring only minimal verification after installation.

“Achieving full certification of our H145 D3 XR simulator is a proud moment for the entire Reiser team,” says Martin Keil, chief technology officer at Reiser Simulation and Training. “We are especially pleased to deliver a mixed-reality training device that is fully certified right out of the factory. With in-house qualification, our customers can start training almost immediately after delivery.”

Beyond certification, the company’s XR-Sim has been nominated for the Bavarian Innovation Award 2026 following a successful first-stage evaluation.

The award is presented by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy alongside regional industry and commerce bodies, with winners expected in autumn 2026.
