Coptersafety expands in Helsinki as it responds to demand
The expansion of Coptersafety's Helsinki training centre will accommodate the three new Level D full flight simulators ordered last year, including a third AW139 full flight simulator from TRU Simulation.
New devices are expected next year and in 2028.

Coptersafety is expanding its purpose-built training centre in Helsinki, Finland in response to the need for additional capacity.

Earlier this year, the Finnish helicopter pilot training provider announced its new majority owner, MML Keystone: “This partnership will allow us to expand capacity, invest in additional simulators along with new locations and continue delivering the highest quality training to our customers worldwide,” states CEO Hannu Marjoniemi. “The expansion of our current facility and headquarters here in Helsinki and added training capacity with new Level D full flight simulators are a natural next step for us and are part of our larger future expansion plan.”

The expansion of Coptersafety's Helsinki training centre will accommodate the three new Level D full flight simulators ordered last year, comprising a third AW139 full flight simulator from TRU Simulation, and from Reiser Simulation and Training both an additional H145 (D3) simulator and a completely new type with the H175 full flight simulator.

Construction of the extension to Coptersafety's training centre will take place this year in readiness for the new simulators that are expected to be available in 2027 and 2028, subject to regulatory approvals and schedules.
