Diamond adds DATC partners in Switzerland and Turkey
With these latest additions, the DATC programme continues its mission to provide students with access to standardised, high‑quality training on the industry's most advanced piston aircraft.
AELO Swiss Academy, one of Europe's premier aviation academies, has been training pilots since 1985 and is headquartered at Locarno Airport, Switzerland.

Diamond Aircraft is expanding its Diamond Authorized Training Center (DATC) programme with the signing of two new agreements during Pilot Expo 2026, Europe's largest pilot recruitment and training event. AeLo Swiss Academy and Turkey-based Atlantic Flight Academy (AFA) are the latest institutions to join the growing network, further strengthening Diamond's commitment to elevating global pilot training standards.

Launched earlier this year, the DATC programme recognises flight schools operating Diamond aircraft that meet the company's rigorous criteria for facilities, curriculum, safety and operational excellence. Certified schools gain the right to use Diamond's branding, and benefit from enhanced OEM support and international programme visibility.

AeLo Swiss Academy, one of Europe's premier aviation academies, has been training pilots since 1985 and is headquartered at Locarno Airport, Switzerland. Its modern training fleet includes Diamond DA42 and DA40 aircraft, with additional brand new DA20 Katana models currently being added following the aircraft's reintroduction to European production.

Established in 2011, AFA is one of Turkey's leading providers of professional pilot training under Turkish DGCA authorisation. AFA is also the official Diamond Aircraft distributor in Turkey and the regional service centre for both Diamond Aircraft and Austro Engine. Its training fleet consists almost entirely of Diamond DA20, DA40 and DA42 aircraft, reflecting an exceptional level of fleet standardisation and alignment with Diamond's integrated training ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to welcome AeLo Swiss Academy and Atlantic Flight Academy into the Diamond Authorized Training Center programme. Both organisations exemplify the professionalism, training quality and operational excellence that the DATC network represents,” says Jane Wang, director of sales, marketing and flight operations at Diamond Aircraft Austria. “Their addition not only strengthens our presence in Europe but also ensures that even more aspiring pilots will have access to the safest, most modern training fleet in general aviation.”

With these latest additions, the DATC programme continues its mission to provide students with access to standardised, high‑quality training on the industry's most advanced piston aircraft. Diamond Aircraft's interactive DATC map allows prospective students to explore each partner school and connect directly with training providers.
