Embraer has unveiled the Praetor 600E and Praetor 500E, the first evolution of the Praetor family. The updated aircraft introduce fully reimagined cabins designed to maximise the longer missions these jets can fly and to enhance productivity and connection on board.
The Praetor 600E debuts a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen Smart Window. The Embraer-exclusive technology supports video conferencing, high-resolution video streaming and provides real-time external views through three cameras. With a configurable divan opposite the Smart Window, the cabin can be arranged for meetings, entertainment or relaxation.
Both aircraft feature a new cabin management system with enhanced in-flight entertainment and lighting. Passengers can control temperature, airflow, lighting, video and audio through multiple interfaces, including a new app. Bluetooth audio, wireless charging and Smart Switch panels are included, while voice commands and RGB mood lighting are optional.
“In 2018, we introduced the Praetor family, named to embody its mission of ‘leading the way’, and we delivered on that promise, setting a new benchmark with the most advanced midsize and super-midsize jets ever built,” says Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “Their success ushered in a new era for Embraer, and today we are redefining the entire business aviation industry by introducing innovations never before seen in this segment. We are proud to unveil the Praetor 600E and Praetor 500E, elevating the private flight experience with smarter, more intuitive jets designed for the next generation of private travellers.”
Seating has been re-engineered and manufactured by Embraer, offering configurable cushion firmness, dual lumbar support and increased legroom. The galley on the Praetor 600E and refreshment centre on the Praetor 500E have also been redesigned to support extended missions.
Both aircraft retain Embraer’s full fly-by-wire system with active turbulence reduction, Embraer Enhanced Vision System and Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System. Deliveries for new orders are expected to begin in Q1 2029.
