Aloft seeks elegance with bespoke VVIP interior on BBJ Max 8
The Delaware-based Boeing-authorised centre has been chosen to design and certify a fully customised cabin for a private owner.
The Max 8 project will be completed at Aloft’s Delaware Coastal Airport facility.

Aloft AeroArchitects has been awarded a contract to perform a VVIP interior completion on a new Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) Max 8. The authorised Boeing BBJ service centre will carry out the work at its hangar facility at Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown, Delaware.

Aloft will manage every aspect of the highly customised interior, including advanced products for passenger comfort, onboard systems and connectivity. The project will be certified through Aloft’s in-house Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) on behalf of the FAA.

Matt Hill, vice president of sales and marketing at Aloft AeroArchitects, says, “We’re truly honoured to be selected as the completion partner by a savvy aircraft owner who has outfitted and operated several VVIP narrow and widebody aircraft over the years. From that perspective, he values the experience, capabilities, quality and dedicated project focus he will receive at Aloft and understands the attributes in a project partner that truly make a difference in delivering an exceptional result. Once delivered, the aircraft will be amongst the most elegant and well equipped in operation.”

As with all Max Boeing Business Jets, the aircraft will include an Aloft auxiliary fuel system (AFS), installed in the forward and aft cargo compartments. The modular and configurable system can increase range by up to 50% depending on the mission profile.
