Starling ends 25-year aviation career with OGaraJets departure
Veteran sales leader Wayne Starling stepped down as interim director of sales after helping to shape OGaraJets’ growth and influence across the private aviation sector.
Starling's leadership at OGaraJets was credited with elevating the company’s sales team and structure.

OGaraJets’ interim director of sales, Wayne Starling, has retired after more than 25 years in aviation finance, sales and industry leadership.

During his time with the Atlanta, Georgia-based aircraft brokerage and acquisition specialist, Starling strengthened the sales organisation, built a high-performing team and advanced strategic growth.

“Wayne’s passion for the industry and his unwavering dedication have been instrumental in elevating our sales efforts,” says OGaraJets president and CEO Johnny Foster. “We are grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement, where he can enjoy more time with family and on the golf course.”

Head of sales, Rich Ropp, says Starling has been an invaluable mentor during the transition. “Wayne has provided bullet-proof sales coaching and success tips stemming from his decades-long successful sales career track,” he says. “He is a gem, he will be missed and we thank him sincerely for all of his efforts.”

Starling’s career highlights include serving as executive director of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) from 2018, where he expanded its global presence and managed AircraftExchange.com. He previously spent over 20 years at PNC Aviation Finance, developing the “Success Cycle of Selling” training programme, and was recognised with lifetime achievement awards from both IADA and the National Aviation Finance Association.
