TrustFlight launches Smart Documents platform
The new platform streamlines the creation, validation and distribution of highly compliant aviation manuals, integrating AI assistance and Centrik 5 quality management tools.
Smart Documents provides an intuitive web-based editor with AI-powered authoring assistance.

TrustFlight has launched Smart Documents, a next-gen authoring platform designed to revolutionise how aviation organisations create, validate and distribute highly compliant manuals and operational documentation.

The launch of Smart Documents follows the debut of Smart Regulations, TrustFlight’s agentic AI platform for aviation regulatory search and compliance. Together, the two platforms form TrustFlight’s SmartSuite, a connected ecosystem designed to eliminate friction between regulatory intelligence and operational execution, enabling safer, more efficient and compliant operations.

Built specifically for aviation, Smart Documents provides an intuitive web-based editor with AI-powered authoring assistance, integrated review and approval workflows, and seamless distribution tools. These features help organisations create compliant documentation with minimal effort. By combining regulatory expertise, intelligent automation and modern usability, Smart Documents ensures updates are faster, more accurate and more efficient, helping operators save millions of labour hours annually.

Centrik 5, one of the aviation industry’s leading quality and safety management systems, integrates directly with Smart Documents, allowing approved manuals and updates to be seamlessly published into the platform for controlled distribution and acknowledgment tracking. This integration also creates a closed-loop compliance environment, where every procedure, change and approval is traceable across safety, risk and audit workflows.

“AI is transforming how aviation organisations create and manage documentation,” says TrustFlight CEO Karl Steeves. “Smart Documents delivers aviation-specific intelligence that understands regulatory and operational complexity. This advancement removes the manual burden of compliance authoring and allows documentation to evolve at the pace of business. We are excited to roll out TrustFlight’s SmartSuite of products to demonstrate how agentic AI delivers measurable improvements in safety, compliance and efficiency.”

Smart Documents introduces advanced AI features designed for aviation documentation. Its integrated AI assistant accelerates content creation by generating new material directly within chapters, using both regulatory and organisational context. Editors can revise, expand, condense or re-tone existing text through natural language instructions, reducing editing time from hours to minutes. Beyond authoring, the system provides intelligent assistance that can answer complex questions, evaluate compliance against current regulations and translate documentation into other languages.

With Smart Documents and Smart Regulations together, TrustFlight now offers the first end-to-end AI-driven compliance environment in aviation, from real-time regulation search and interpretation to compliant document creation and distribution. By connecting these systems, TrustFlight says it is redefining how regulatory knowledge and operational documentation coexist, creating a connected foundation for the future of digital aviation.

Smart Documents is now available to operators, maintenance organisations and regulators worldwide.
