Nimbl has introduced an Emergency Response Platform, built directly into the Nimbl app, that gives operators a central hub to plan for, practise and respond to emergencies.
The feature enables teams to run simulations, identify potential gaps and become familiar with their roles, then use the same module to call up critical information and coordinate their response when a real emergency occurs. The dashboard brings together the company’s ERP manual, emergency checklists, key contacts, emergency response team members, status updates and forms.
When an emergency is activated through the platform, users are prompted to record key details that can be updated as the event develops. Critical information, including the type of emergency, elapsed time and affected aircraft, remains visible at the top of the screen, giving the response team a clear view of the situation as it unfolds.
Mark Baier, CEO of Nimbl, says: “This is a feature we hope nobody ever has to use in a real emergency, but if that day comes, having an Emergency Response Platform in place is crucial to ensure flight departments are prepared if something goes wrong.”
He adds: “Easy access to critical information, combined with familiarity with the procedures, can save valuable time when every second matters.”
Nimbl is showcasing the platform at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas from 20 to 22 October, on booth #3135.
Formerly known as AviationManuals, Nimbl began in 1996 with International Operations Procedures Manuals and supports more than 4,700 operators worldwide. Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the company combines SMS, procedures manuals and compliance support, backed by a team of aviation experts available to operators needing additional guidance.
