Web Manuals has unveiled the latest evolution to its Compliance Libraries, with a range of upgrades designed to simplify compliance management, including a new AI-powered capability and the integration of FAA Data Collection Tools (DCTs).
The latest addition to Web Manuals' Amelia AI suite, Amelia Compliance Assistant, uses reasoning AI to help operators find and understand regulatory information. Users can ask questions in plain language and receive answers based on their Compliance Libraries, with clear references to the source. Customers can then directly review the relevant regulation and link it to their documentation, making it easier to put information into practice.
FAA DCTs have also been added to help US operators prepare for FAA assessments. Users can connect DCT questions directly to their manuals, quickly identify where information may be missing and prepare supporting evidence in advance, reducing the time involved in assessment preparation.
More broadly, a streamlined interface gives teams a clearer view of regulatory changes, how they relate to their manuals and who is responsible for them. Tasks can be assigned alongside each regulation, helping users keep track of what needs to be done and reducing manual work.
Richard Sandström, chief product officer and founder, Web Manuals, says: “Web Manuals was founded on the belief that aviation safety should be simple and accessible, and our Compliance Libraries are central to that mission. As our customers' needs evolve, we continue to look for ways to make managing compliance simpler, faster and more intuitive.
“Today's unveiling marks the next step in our journey. Shaped by direct user feedback, we've enhanced the experience to make regulations easier to navigate and manage, while our new Amelia AI functionality provides greater clarity and confidence throughout the compliance process. The result is a smarter, more streamlined way of working that reflects the realities of aviation compliance today.” The enhanced Compliance Libraries are now available to customers.
Web Manuals specialises in developing digital document management solutions for the aviation industry. It is revolutionising aviation manuals and regulatory compliance by making the digitisation, authoring and distribution of operational documentation easy and accessible to operators of all sizes. What used to be a laborious manual task is now made simple: the rapid authoring, reviewing, publishing, distribution and control of an entire manuals library is now a seamless operation. This brings significant savings in time and administrative costs, while improving regulatory compliance and flight safety. The company is rapidly expanding its global footprint. It has more than 760 customers and partners worldwide, and offices in New York, San Diego, Singapore, Sydney, Barcelona and Malmö, Sweden.
The Amelia AI suite has grown in sequence: Web Manuals launched Amelia AI Document Search for pilots and crew in April 2024, adding natural-language retrieval from operational manuals.
Web Manuals was founded in 2012 and Sandström has held the co-founder role since that date.
