German full-service business aviation service provider Atlas Air Service has been appointed as an authorised sales representative for special mission aircraft by Textron Aviation. Textron is renowned for its Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Citation and Cessna Caravan models. Renowned for their robust, flexible and economical characteristics, these models are the ideal basis for sophisticated special mission aircraft (SMA).

Thanks to its decades of technical expertise in maintaining Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft, and its extensive experience in special mission conversions, Atlas is the perfect partner for Textron Aviation. Conversions for these aircraft types can now also be carried out at its Bremen service centre, enabling tailor-made solutions for a wide range of special applications.

Special mission aircraft are used for airborne ISR, maritime patrols, border control, SAR, flight inspections, air ambulance services, atmospheric research, aerial surveys, training and government flights.

In addition to converting aircraft for the aforementioned areas of application, Atlas is authorised to integrate complex Textron Aviation manufacturer kit installations such as extended nose, drop hatch or ER at its Bremen location. As an authorised sales representative for special mission aircraft, Atlas Air Service is also authorised to sell these customised special mission aircraft.

“We are proud to be part of the Textron Aviation network for the conversion and sale of aircraft used for special missions. This strategic cooperation underscores our long-standing expertise in business aircraft and special mission conversions and opens up new opportunities for strategic business development,” says Nicolas von Mende, CEO of Atlas Air Service.

“Together with Textron Aviation, we offer our customers individually configurable solutions at the highest technical level, and we are now authorised to oversee projects from conversion in our own hangars through to the sale and delivery of the aircraft. We can also retrofit factory-offered modifications in Germany,” adds Gregor Bremer, COO of Atlas.

Atlas Air Service has over 50 years' experience in aviation and is now one of Europe's leading providers of business aviation services. Becoming an authorised sales representative for special mission aircraft for the Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Citation and Cessna Caravan models marks a significant milestone in the company's strategic development.
