Tulsa-based Omni Aircraft Maintenance has received STC for the Learjet 40/45 and 70/75 from the FAA for the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna, which will maximise the high-speed broadband service to elevate inflight productivity, entertainment and leisure time. Gogo Galileo HDX, the latest innovation from Gogo, leverages Eutelsat‘s OneWeb LEO satellite network to deliver uninterrupted and consistent connectivity across all routes globally.
Omni's client has selected to upgrade from the ATG 5000 to the Gogo Galileo HDX system in addition to an L5 LRU and the MB-13 antennas, making the aircraft fully 5G-ready. The decision was driven by the benefits of: enabling high-speed broadband connectivity for the first time; adding redundancy to the existing network; and providing the flexibility and global coverage the operator values.
“We are proud to have teamed up with our dealer partner Gogo for certification of the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna on the Learjet 40/45 and 70/75 models,” says Jerome Cottner, president, Omni Aircraft Maintenance. “Seeing the collaboration between our team internally, Gogo and the launch client has truly been impressive. With affordable installation and equipment provided, our clients can achieve increased transmit and receive downloads with zero latency for Part 91/135 operations globally. Moreover, with streamlined installation practices our team will minimise any downtime for the installation along with performing the installation at our client’s hangar if requested. This next generation upgrade is incredible, and I am honoured to have this product offering for our clients.”
“We’re extremely excited to announce that we’ve received STC for the installation of the Gogo Galileo HDX system on the Learjet 45/75,” comments Michael Rodgers, CEO, Omni Aircraft Maintenance. “This is a significant milestone for Omni and a testament to the hard work, expertise and dedication of our entire team. A special recognition goes to John Lopez, our avionics division manager, who led this project from start to finish. His leadership and technical excellence were instrumental in bringing this achievement to life. At Omni, our people truly make the difference. This STC is yet another example of the high- quality work and innovation that define our team every day.”
The STC is now available for US-registered aircraft, with validation efforts underway with EASA, Brazil's ANAC and Transport Canada to expand availability to international operators.
The STC is available for MROs to purchase through Omni Aircraft Maintenance as well as for in-house installations.
