ACSF board member Covington comes highly recommended

Candace Covington is a safety management expert.

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) has appointed Candace Covington to its board of directors. With her strong leadership and deep experience in aviation, Covington will help ACSF continue its mission to make air travel safer and better for everyone.

She currently serves as the senior director of aviation at Adobe, where she built and leads a top-notch corporate flight department. Her focus is on delivering safe, seamless, and exceptional travel experiences for Adobe's executives and guests.

Before Adobe, Covington spent over 10 years at Qualcomm, where she held roles like chief pilot and senior director of aviation. There, she led efforts to improve safety by implementing a safety management system and a flight data monitoring programme, as well as setting clear flight procedures and building a culture of trust and teamwork.

Covington is passionate about helping others in aviation. She founded Soaring Eagles Outreach, a non-profit that introduced disadvantaged youth in San Diego to aviation careers. She also served on the Southern California Aviation Association's safety committee and was a founding member of the NBAA High Altitude Oxygen Working Group, which worked to identify an alternative means of compliance with the use of supplemental oxygen regulations for Part 91 operators based on technologically advanced aircraft systems. Candace is also the chair of ACSF's new ROI on Safety Working Group.

“Candace brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for safety to our board,” says Debi Carpenter, president of ACSF. “Her leadership and dedication to making aviation better for everyone will help us take our mission to new heights.”

Her appointment strengthens the ACSF board's expertise in corporate aviation leadership and safety best practices, further supporting the foundation's goal to enhance the safety of air charter and business aviation operations.
