NBAA welcomes US-EU framework restoring zero tariffs on aircraft trade
The NBAA has said the new agreement reflects long-standing trade arrangements and will reinforce the United States' position in global aviation leadership.

The National Business Aviation Association has commended the Trump Administration and the European Union on a framework agreement restoring reciprocal, fair and balanced trade in aircraft and parts, including a return to zero-for-zero tariffs starting September 1.

The agreement followed last month’s similar move on aerospace products. Since the 1979 Agreement on Trade in Civil Aircraft, more than 30 countries have benefited from tariff-free civil aviation trade.

NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen says: “The agreement marks a vital step toward reestablishing a fair and balanced trade environment. It supports continued innovation in aerospace, strengthens the United States' global leadership in aviation safety and helps sustain the significant trade surplus that the U.S. aerospace industry has achieved over many decades.”

NBAA continues to call for zero-for-zero tariffs across all signatories of the 1979 agreement.
